I had this weird-ass dream last night that one of my friends had bought a Veyron replica powered by an Isuzu V6.

@WookieLifeDay: I saw the movie once. I've re-watched that trailer countless times.

@Jeb_Hoge: He hasn't fashioned a new spoiler yet? Are you saying your kid doesn't have a My First Sheet Metal Brake?

@Jeb_Hoge: Hmm. Just tried that with a couple of mine (a brand-new Motorsports Authentics model, and an Action from 2003) and they both seem to be about as eager to make right turns as they are to make lefts.

I have plates like this on my car. On one hand, it's not the blue/white gradient. On the other hand, my car (and a decent percentage of cars old enough to run these plates) isn't an Early American car, it's a '70s European car.

@Baby Beater Benz: I want to cover the outside of my house with that material!

@Baby Beater Benz: Hmm. 90 degrees at night?! They might want to unbolt the other door.

Should be fun to drive home with that door missing.

@john.d.evans.2: I remember back when I was a member on a Suzuki Swift/Geo Metro owners' forum, you had a pretty cool car if it was rolling on a set of 4 mid-80s RX-7 spares. Those were alloys, though.

@norway_to_miami: Ha! I bought my entire car (Mercedes marketing would now call it a 5th-generation E-class, I think) for $800.

@$kaycog*5000*: I know how much they cost to fix, but I still love that dash.

@grzydj: It's not that the quality of the tires necessarily goes down, it's that the price of quality tires goes up astronomically after a certain size (I saw a stack of four 305/35R23 Pirelli Scorpions once- $1800.) and many of the people who are into the dub/donk look want the biggest wheels and tires they can

@agjios: To be honest, all I said was that the CSX still existed. But you link does say that "The donor Civic’s good genes are also apparent across the interior," which implies that yes, the CSX is a badge-engineered Civic.

@vavon205: When GM brought the Opel Astra to the US as a Saturn, they left all the symbols on the switches, and I remember reading Car and Driver whine about how unintuitive it was.

Now that I think about it, a lot of that list is going to be race cars.

The list of beautiful Japanese cars that aren't the 2000GT is pretty short, I think, but the HSV-010 GT is on it.
