@JC Whitless: I don't know why GIFs show up like that in comments, but this one has a nice 3D effect.

The Japanese round of the MotoGP championship, originally scheduled for next weekend, has been postponed to October due to the ash cloud. Most of the bikes and stuff are already there in Motegi, but personnel won't be able to leave Europe in time.

@jbh11126: The famed beaches of Quebec, Canada!

@brandegee: Hmm. It's a quart low, better add some oil-AAAAAAHHHH IT BURNS!!!

@JC Whitless: Wonder if they do 6-hour shipping?

Murilee, if they do go the direct-drive route, I think it's your duty to ensure there is a camera of some sort attached to this vehicle when it returns to the track. It could be historic and it should be entertaining.

@CahbonFiabah: It's not just the unibody, it's the front-drive roots, the transverse engine, the independent suspension... You can probably still build a capable off-road machine with these things, I just doubt Ford actually will. I expect them to build yet another option for overprotective moms looking for a troop

@poordna: Well, if Ford were to replace the Ranger with a small car-based pickup, that wouldn't make the Ranger really similar to all the other car-based pickups Ford doesn't make (while the Explorer will now ne really similar to the Edge/Flex).

@Møbius: I'm pretty sure they want to see a bill of sale or something to see how much you paid for the car. I don't think they'd believe you if you told them Team Kolles sold you an R10 for $326 "and it only needed a new glow plug realy to start!"

@Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer: Well, you can probably blame California for the US emissions regulations that this car probably doesn't comply with. I don't know if you can blame GM for not wanting to update a 10-year-old design to meet US safety standards.

@Optixtruf: Merkurs? There's like 3 Fieros there! I need one to swap a V8 into someday!

@banner77amc: Citroën still makes cars with hydropneumatic (Hydractive 3+) suspension, and I'm pretty sure they can still do the driving-on-3-wheels trick. It wouldn't work on a RWD car like a Jag, as you need both front wheels on the ground for steering, and both rears on the ground to get forward drive.

@tastypotatoes: The 6-hour ALMS race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is probably the closest thing to Sebring on the Left Coast. Used to be the season finale, but on this year's schedule it's next month.

@JuanOxido: I think the picture would be much, much darker, because just setting foot in the interior of a Sebring you'd be simultaneously bored and horrified by the design and choice of materials, and you'd forget to take the lens cap off.

@Sam Smith: Cool. But, isn't he going to be a bit occupied with/tired from the American Irony LeMons race this weekend?

The M3 racer doesn't look as good without the M tricolors on the fenders.

@Straight6er: Don't ask questions, just be happy he's been removed from the gene pool.

@pauljones: This color scheme probably still works.
