Median is the absolutely correct measure for this list. Black wealth in Chicago is insanely stratified (median income: $30,000), to the point where you hardly even see someone in a middle class job. I was just in Georgia for a year, and the difference is jaw dropping. Admittedly, Chicago has 1/2 the Black population…

And thanks for the encouragement. After a long 5 years break for a variety of reasons, I’m working on a comeback of sorts this year at the age of 53. I will be proud just to finish, no matter the time.
Without doxing too much, I’ve coached/trained with some elite runners, and absolutely none of them would ever pull that kind of shit.
