I went to a gym last night and it was guarded by a cp1580 dragon. I was all, “nope.” I am level 8 now and still haven’t been to the gym.

Don’t tell anyone but I am an old and I don’t quite “get” the teams. Is there really a better one to choose? At this point, I am level 5, have a handful of probably very weak pokemon but a shitton of this other stuff I’ve picked up in various places. I want to go to the gym but I am afraid that someone will kill my…
Well, 6 people since 2004 anyway (this article should be updated).
Luda, you have awful taste in wine.
My husband used it to school me when I had no idea. Apparently, Canadians know more about world (and American) history than I do. I had no idea how bad the Russians and Chinese had it.
Didn’t see this post before I commented before...
Not more than everyone else combined but probably a third of all deaths were Russian.
China lost 15-20MM. I had no idea until my Canadian husband told me (and schooled me on the Russians, too). Apparently, there was a lot more death in WW2 than 6 MM Jewish people in concentration camps.
Just the other day I saw that there had been a bombing in Istanbul and I mentioned it to my husband. His response? “Again?”
Here’s a good example of someone who knew about the program and reached out. https://www.facebook.com/78629590473669…
This isn’t an intake situation. This is when the group shows up with the extra funds along with the pet parent to retrieve the pet. I am not sure their reasoning for not wanting to accept that money any more and nor is the rescue group. It’s the same shelter that I showed up at with a car load of donations and…
They do the same in the community but LA county is huge so it’s not always easy to get out there and reach everyone. They have had pretty significant success directly at the shelters and they have good communication with most of the shelters. There is one that won’t accept their program though. That is total bullshit.…
That is great news to hear. Our local city and county shelters are never “low.” Sigh.
These guys will actually go stand at intake and try to find out why people are dumping. If they can prevent it, they will try.
That’s some heavy guilt there....I hope they realize that even with all the medical records in the world, their beloved family pet may still be put down if brought into a city/county shelter.
When I still had my cats, I would break out after they laid on me (particularly my forearms). A little bit of cortisone and some patience and it would be fine. Life without a cat (particularly Smokey and Bailey) would have been a sad one. I’ll take my lumps and bumps (even if they itch) over a cat-free life!
Good to hear that you worked through it. Many times nobody even saw the allergist. It’s just, my kid developed allergies this weekend and we need to get rid of our 6 year old dog/cat.
There is a fantastic grass roots program in our area that targets these people and helps them with keeping their pets. They fund vet care, spays/neuters, “break out” fees, tags, microchips and vaccines as well as do things like fix fences. I have been involved with them for less than a year and have helped get pets…
If you love following stories about senior dogs, I really love the Thulani program (although there are tons out there like Frosted Faces). http://thulanidogs.org/about/
Holy shit. I just read this thread. It is almost NEVER extenuating circumstances. Moving? It is usually, I’m moving and I don’t want to take my pet. I don’t want to find housing or anything. The other thing that drives me nuts is when people adopt pets but don’t have the money to care for them so they take them back…
