I would argue that GM absolutely takes risks but they have historically murdered their own products before they can properly develop. GM developed a viable, promising electric car years before its competitors.

If losing a rotary is inevitable, an Inline 6 is at least an acceptable consolation. I’m not a big rotary nerd, I just think they sound cool and I appreciate things that are different. But I also recognize it might just be a concept that will never pan out to the extent that piston engines have.

the kicker is that many of these “yuppies” are buying these $50k cars, with those $900/mo payments, and are sharing a two bedroom apartment and are only paying $725/mo for a bedroom. They are balling hard in their urban commando mobile and going home to their blank room with a mattress on the floor and an ACER laptop…
