That was a lot of words to say “It’s mildly inconvenient to click a different icon on my desktop to launch a game.”

This was perfect, and probably one of the strongest sketches of the nigh (if you’re a video game fan of course). Kit really went all out in his sketches (managing to get down to his skivvies in roughly half of them haha).
As is if this game didn’t have enough great little easter eggs. Apparently one was glitching under my nose this whole time!
Agree with everything you guys said. This movie absolutely obliterated all my expectations. Darla was the best in every way, and made me miss when my little sister was her age!
You mean The Division took a page from Destiny - it also had community puzzles. ;)
The crazy community puzzles are one of the best parts of recent Destiny 2, and I’m so happy Massive took a page from Bungie for The Division 2!
Borderlands 3 is supporting cross-platform play, so I doubt that will be an issue. But if it is, like console players have been doing for decades, you just decide what version you and your friends are going to buy. *shrug*
I am SO happy to see a reasonable comment at the top of this article. I have surveyed friends, and even had a huge thread going on GiantBomb’s FB page, and all of the arguments I heard against the EPIC launcher can be summed up in this:
The “story” of an open-world rpg is not just the main plot. Mass Effect. Elder Scrolls. Assassins Creed. Destiny. In all of these franchises there are dozens of intricate stories surrounding the overall driving plot of the game. If the driving plot is enough to make you interested in the small stories that support it,…
It always bothers me when people say this game has “no story,” as quarantine zones, exploring homes and apartments, echoes, and phone conversations all often provide a very believable story of people living during a crazy emergency. The overplot is weak I suppose, but if that’s all you’re paying attention to, you’re…
If you didn’t find “butt-stallion” to be hilarious... I don’t know what to say. BL2 was at it’s best when it was at it’s most ridiculous. Again, that style of comedy is either beloved or hated these days. There is no middle-ground.
Adam Sandler made The Ridiculous Six, which is extremely similar to the style and tone of Blazing Saddles, which racial humor to boot. People hated it, and called it offensive. Yeah, there’s no way someone, especially a white dude (Jewish or otherwise) would get away with making Blazing Saddles with modern-day…
With the way everything progresses these days, 7 years is a damn long time. Regardless of whether the humor in BL2 reflected 2012 cultural ideals, it was absolutely a throwback to older styles of comedy and writing, which is a big part of why I (and many others) enjoyed it so much.
Yup. They both share a lot of similarities in their style of writing and love of slapstick and “edgy” (at the time) jokes in their work. Another similarity is the fact that their style of writing doesn’t age well for younger generations. I think another good example is modern Adam Sandler films. Yes, his older films…
And there’s nothing wrong with that! I wouldn’t call the humor “cringey,” but it certainly has a very specific style to it that people tend to either love or hate.
I knew this game would satisfy my shlooter needs... but I didn’t expect it to also satisfy my need for exploration and puzzle-solving. I still enjoy Destiny, but hot damn has Massive hit it out of the park at launch, instead of a year after release!
I’m happy (and surprised) to see that as the top-starred comment. People these days LOVE shitting on old games and other media, and I’ve heard a LOT of hate regarding the writing in BL2 in recent years. My wife and I found BL2 (and the related TellTale series) to be among the funniest games we’ve ever played. Ashley…
As someone who has played this game since the alpha (and still plays regularly), the poor monitization has always been one of the biggest indications that HotS wouldn’t be a big success. In this case, it wasn’t that the monetization attempts were shady or abusive, but rather the opposite. The game has always been too…
Honestly that’s one of the reason we enjoyed it so much. :P I agree though, it’s definitely for experienced players, as the added challenge makes it fun for those who know what they are doing. One of the only issues I think with the original game (not including the expansion) is that it’s usually stacked against the…

The Baldur’s Gate version of the game is also great! But yeah we’re about half-way through the legacy version and it’s really damn good!
