*slow clap*

You should have just cited multiple troll attempts. Too late!

Man the front of it looks like someone took a 599 and crinkled it, and the back looks like a Camaro had sex with an f-117. I'd still hoon the shit out of it.

Yes, this. My first reaction when reading this headline was "You mean other than Saudi Arabia?"

You forgot high ranking government officials visiting other former soviet countries.

OK, but did the pilot call "glass" when bouncing the landing gear off the overhead truss into the moving car? *ducks and runs for cover*

*Secretly loathing Daniel Eastman for being able to take the perfect racing line, tires squealing, while having a casual conversation*

Some of these are spoiled brats, some of these are (perhaps) valid complaints [blackberry? really?], but a decent portion seem to be sarcastic. I suspect the guy "complaining" about getting a PS3, iPhone and car is probably being sarcastic. More importantly... why are all these people posting this stuff today, and not

I kinda agree with you. Obviously you struck a chord with some corvette lovers here, but I think you CAN tell quite a bit from this drawing. Even if they were to clad the whole cockpit in CF or leather or alcantara, I'm not a fan of the lines. And you can in fact see a color rendering in the 4th photo, and it shows

It also makes it more grounded to the ground.

This is mostly correct, but really, you should just take the nail out when possible. I lived in a house built in 1920 that used the old "cut" nails that are sort of wedge shaped. Even after hammering them back in and screwing the drywall down, after a season of swell/contract of the walls, it still pokes back out.

Cost of materials and labor.

That may be the point though. The car does will in crashes that the designers know it will be tested for... and then as soon as they are hit from another angle, the safety cell buckles to an alarming degree. I, for one, am glad they're adding this new test. Real world crashes do not always occur at 40% overlap, nor to

Thanks for the kind words! Merry Christmas to you as well!

While I wouldn't want to overstep any bounds and put words in your mouth, I think that sentiment may come from your unique interpretation of Christmas. If all you see is the ugly consumerist side of the holiday and you don't have the emotional/nostalgic connection to the people and memories that you can associate with

I get really irked by drivers who don't turn their lights on at dawn/dusk or in the rain. It always seems to be someone in a dark blue/black/gray/silver car, so they blend in perfectly with the background when they are moving. The laws regarding dawn/dusk allow a lot of leeway (lights only have to be on 1/2 hour after

I went to college in Seattle and I can attest to this. Seattle drivers on a good day are like sheep... moving down the road as a pack, with the occasional stray unpredictably darting in one direction or the other. Add in rain, and it is terrifying. I was there 2006-2010, and for the first few years they hadn't done

#8 made me think of a fantastic AOTD: What are the most unforgiving cars? Or alternatively, you could ask for most unforgiving street/race/super/malaise era/nuclear powered car. I searched the archives, and couldn't find it, so hopefully I'm not beating a dead horse. I figure obvious entries would be 911 turbo, lancia

Worth keeping in mind is that bit where they said that there have been 160 incidents, and 121 reports of misfueling. AKA gas in a diesel engine. Diesel is a pretty good lubricant, and on the other end of the spectrum, gasoline happens to be a pretty good solvent, with little to no ability to lubricate. So running gas

Ahhh thank you. I'll have to brush up on my Polish, I guess.
