magic eraser is amazing.  I’ve cleaned years of grime off of a 40 year old tile shower floor.  I once backed my dark colored car into a gutter downspout and had a nice white paint scratch on the car.  I said, “I’ll try the magic eraser on this, why not?”  Wiped that scratch right off, barely noticed it there.

Yeah, it’s odd.  I have gotten increases on all my other cards and opened brand new accounts with 20x the limit of my 25 year old card.  Since I have other cards, I haven’t really bothered to call and ask why directly.  

Utilities don’t want you to pay with a credit card because of the fees.  They could pass the fee on to you, but that probably defeats the purpose of someone using their “rewards” card to pay utility bills.  If there is a fee involved with a CC payment, I don’t pay with a CC unless it’s the only option.

You can easily stop at a yield sign if you are unsure. In fact, you must stop at a yield sign if you are yielding the right of way to cars already in the roundabout. You can also stay in the roundabout if you missed your turn for some reason.

You can’t tell me that a 4-way stop at a busy intersection doesn’t require more intelligence than a roundabout though. It’s a guessing game most of the time. You have to guess if everyone realizes you were there first or the longest or are next in line. You have to hope there’s not an asshole that is going to just go.

A roundabout is no worse, and is much better, than having to pay attention to what people are doing at 4-way stops. “Is it my turn? Is it his turn? Is she signaling for me to go? Is that guy going to stop? Oh no, we all got here at the same time!”

What is there to teach though? I had never driven in a roundabout, but when I saw the yield sign as I was coming to the first one I encountered, I knew that meant I had to yield to the cars that are moving inside the roundabout, because I was taught what a yield sign is.
