If someone is paying $300-$600 per month to an HOA, they are getting more services than just an HOA enforcing rules.

Who cares if I have a door in my garage that locks? My garage door is also secure and is part of my house and I’m allowed to store things in it, even when I lock it off from the rest of the house.

You think an HOA can just make any arbitrary rule though and the homeowner’s are beholden to it just because they signed the HOA agreement?

Do HOA’s keep people of color out? I live in a neighborhood with an HOA and there are several around me with HOA’s and PoC are the majority in my neighborhood.
