This looks pretty cool, I’d watch it. I suppose with it being on Discovery, I’d dip in and out of maintaining the subscription, so it’d be like a $25 season ticket. In between races I could watch all of the shows I can stomach about people buying gold-mining equipment and other shows about not finding crabs where one

Now all they have to do is kill their expensive models.

I don’t really agree with the verbiage used above, but I accept the inconvenience of things like this sometimes. I’ve been watching liveshows my favorite movie podcasters have been putting out during all of 2020 and either screen mirroring or using a laptop + HDMI, because the platforms they use haven’t paid someone

Tesla is just a benefactor of what has, unfortunately, become now commonplace: a strong idolization and worship of culture icons that waivers on becoming a person’s whole identity. See also: our departing president, “mommy bloggers”, stance bros, ad infinitim.

Yeah, pretty much everything he revealed was common sense. Developers crunching on a highly-anticipated AAA game? Check.

Not to mention that the US does a shitty job of maintaining the “dumb” roads that it already has.  The “smart road” concept may work someplace where they give a damn about maintaining their infrastructure.

I would just say the overall population of people willing to spend $5K on an EV bike for short commuting is an order of magnitude larger than the population of people willing to spend $30K for a commuter bike.

Very true! Games like Carmageddon and Road Rash are iconic even today. And let’s not forget GTA, one of the most popular games on the planet.

Yes I agree, it’s American Way, focus on the indiviaul rather than the collective ability. If we took a systemic, de-personalized approach, like integrating smartroads, we'd be further along. But like you say, smartroads aren't sexy and they don't appeal to a highly individualistic consumer's appetite
