This is always such a weird sentiment to me... I feel like I’m on an island because to this day I still immensely enjoy the game.

Lol it doesn't sound anything like what Sega would do. Hell, Sega doesn't even publish sequels to their OWN franchises (Streets of Rage 4, Shenmue 3, Toe Jam and Earl Back in the Groove). If Atlus wasn't part of Sega their name would've been nowhere near it because it's out of the norm for them.

I don’t think Sega approached a random dev like "hey, you want to make a rip off of a game in a series that hasn't been heard from in over 25 years?"... the only reason Sega is even attached to this is because they own Atlus and Atlus publishes Ace Team’s games...

I think it is a bit irresponsible or unfair to use SEGA’s name as the publisher instead of the development team with the title of this article.

Sadly, this is sort of ACE Team’s thing. They start with good ideas, that they often bungle in the execution.

It’s produced by Sega but made by ACE Team of Zeno Clash fame, makers of a decent list of somehwhat ok games.

My 2nd controller was the blue swirl PAL controller that I thought I was cool for having because nobody else I knew had one lol. I also had the orange US Stunner and blue EU Stunner for the Saturn so I could match the arcade setup.

So many great ones missing!

Sonic Adventure released in 1999 in the US

Aw man.. I loved the ability to rent consoles back in the day. I didn’t get a PS1 until 99, but I rented one with the newly released Tekken 2 and Crash Bandicoot. I vividly remember playing Tekken 2 on my 13 inch TV in the living room that Friday night while my mom was watching the news on the main TV and they had

Oh god *eye roll*

Yeah... Sega didn’t put those out... like I said lol....

Genesis Mini..

All of that! Good times.

I used to play SoR 2 so much that I would throw a pipe or knife in a certain spot and hit guys off screen because I knew where they would be waiting. I also found that Axel slides backwards when doing the Bare Knuckle move if you tapped back immediately after pressing forward twice and before pressing attack. I loved

No love for Shinobi? I loved Golden Axe as a kid, but I have a hard time playing it now - and the genre as a whole is still my favorite genre. The music for Golden Axe II and III is still amazing though. I wish Sega would finally port Golden Axe: the Revenge of Death Adder to consoles... by far the best game in the

It actually looks French to me (which it is).. I wish they worked with Ayano Koshiro on the designs.. although if they had then it may have ended up looking too anime/manga-ish. I feel like the original games had that perfect balance between Japanese and American art styles.

Streets of Rage 2 is the best beat em up ever.

That’s a yikes. If you believe all that stuff you just said, you’re terribly misinformed. It’s not up to Reggie how to design Samus, or write her story. Reggie is also not singlehandedly responsible for clearing or dismissing a new game idea. He doesn’t come up with all the game ideas and go around telling the

The main reason the Wii U flopped was because it came off as an attachment to the Wii. I don’t think ports and indie titles will hurt the Switch’s popularity because it’s pretty much the successor to the 3DS and is filling a void perfectly.
