I’m at a loss of words lol. The levels felt empty and poorly designed around a poor gimmick imo. Without the tethering, the levels would’ve been a walk in the park. I’ve never heard of anyone in my life that thought it was better than 3 & Knuckles. The team that worked on it probably don’t even think that lol.

That soundtrack was SO good. Definitely on par with everything else the series put out from that era.

I remember falling deeply in love with the music especially in Chaotix. The visuals were fantastic too but Midnight Greenhouse man...

I genuinely felt that Sonic 3 & Knuckles and CD were more rewarding than Mario’s 2D games from the era.

Generations 3D sections were better than Colors’ but Colors’ 2D sections were superior. The only reason I liked it less than Colors was because all the stages were remixes. Gameplay wise though, it was excellent.

I think that many people also approach Sonic as “gotta go fast” when I don’t think I ever did. The classic games always invited you to explore which was always my favorite part.

I was on earth when PS2s and PS4s were hard to find for months after release too.

I get what you’re trying to do here.. but REM, Nirvana and Radiohead coincided. I don’t recall fans of either of those bands really complaining about the others. Fans of Slayer, Metallica and Megadeth complained about Slipknot, Korn and Limp Bizkit... and for good reason.

I don’t know why the Super Famicom Classic gets Super Street Fighter II while we get Street Fighter II Turbo, but I’ll take Super Castlevania IV, Super Punch-Out and Earthbound over Legend of the Mystical Ninja (although I love that game), Super Soccer and Fire Emblem.

You don’t have to worry about that with me. The European version looks nice and all, but my nostalgic connection is with the North American version.
