Most certainly. Why? Because the kid in me still enjoys such an event. In my mundane sit in a cubicle 40 hrs m - f life, I get excited for events like this, TGS and Gamescom. For the press? No not really since the internet has pretty much destroyed the secrecy. I mean somethings come out of there, but a lot of it is

not sure if I'm more excited for this or Azure Striker Gunvolt. I think the latter due to the graphical style.

I was just gonna mention Genesis and Atari. Could the 5200 not play 2600 games as well? I have an Atari XEGS that even plays classic Atari games.

So graphics cards, processors, and motherboards last forever and never become obsolete?

Difference of opinion... I was in 7th grade when the 3D era began and I thought it was ugly. There were occasional Nintendo 64 games that I thought looked good, but overall I didn't care for a lot of the graphics at the time. Either way, they aged horribly. We rarely went back to games from that era, but we often

Shank and Castle Crashers don't look better than those classic games. The whole flash game look has always been ugly and cheap feeling to me compared to the way sprites animated.

well, it had an amazing start in the States. But once the ps2 was near, it cooled off tremendously, eventually leading to Sega pulling the plug entirely. Although it didn't do so bad in Japan, the US was still the crown jewel. For comparisons sake, the Mega Drive in its 7 years sold 4.5 mil in Japan versus the

The Dreamcast actually did alright in Japan... Segas post Genesis consoles did best in Japan. The Saturn might've been their most successful JP console, lasting from 94 - 2000 in Japan vs 95 - 98 in the States.

Yeah, the Genesis was the first Xbox. It was best for sports games, had blood in Mortal Kombat, and Sega's image made it seem like it was "okay" for the older crowd to still play games. Then PlayStation came along and made it "okay" for EVERYONE to play games.

Yeah, by 1993 Sega had captured 65% of the western market. It was never as popular in Japan, even being outsold by the PC Engine (Japanese Turbo Grafx 16 if you weren't aware) at one point.

I swear people don't know what gimmick means.

I mean, it was published by them.. but the credit for its creation goes to housemarque

you aren't the only one...

Lol the collector thing is my issue too. I'm thinking man I wonder if I can't find someone willing to "trade" via reddit, I'll throw in a few bucks to make it more worth their while.

"Compare the N64 to any other console..." That's pretty much the determining factor in deciding the measurement of something isn't it? If you make 75k a year in a particular field.. that's not a bad salary. But if your peers average 200k, your salary is relatively small.

Again... opinions. Nintendo 64 > all other Nintendo consoles combined.

it's not a lot. It's on the lower end when compared to libraries of any major console... By comparison, the GameCube sold a few million less consoles and had over 500 US games. The Dreamcast and Saturn had much shorter lifespans in the states and each had around 250 US games.

opinions... I still consider the 64 to be my favorite Nintendo console (before you try to say something about my age, I'm in my 30s and grew up with nes and snes).

Did you ever play the GBA game? It got so much hate but I loved it lol.
