How old are you? I'm pretty sure consoles go back around 40 years now... Granted I wasn't here until the 80s, but what pc games were being played in 77?

Lol I was thinking the same thing. I loved the S controller back in the day.

I was actually more drawn to the Xbox's launch line up mainly due to Killer Instinct. I think I'll get that, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, and NBA 2K14. I want Loco Cycle too, but it's gotta wait.

Aw come on, no Zwei? The original is easily skippable if you can get your hands on Orta and Zwei, but man Zwei shouldn't be missed.

Contrast looked cool but definitely lacks polish which killed my buzz for it. I do enjoy Knack though in spite of the reviews.

Actually, it started Feb 26th 2011 with the Japanese launch of the 3DS. The 7th gen was kicked off with the DS in 2004. Prior to that, no portable was released before the consoles belonging to it's generation. The GBA came after the Dreamcast, the Virtual Boy after the 3DO and the Game Boy after the PC Engine.

I understand just how much it costs to make games.. indie games can cost upto a million, but many of them just don't. I know "non-AAA titles from publishers" can cost 10 - 30 million.. which I would consider mid budget. Once you start talking 50 million and up.. then that's what I consider a high budget.

You got that

Foolish, gonna mess around and get killed doing that here in Texas. I'm in my 30s now, but back when I was a teenager one of my friends had some other teens bust into his house down in Waco. He pulled a gun on them and they ran and called the cops.. so he ended up getting in trouble. They told him that if he had been

Are you sure that's what super arppls was talking about thought? Mid-priced to me would mean the price at retail... if I'm talking costs.. then its medium budget. I can't find any numbers on the budgets of these games, but if their budget is truly middle of the road.. then the prices should reflect that if you want

Oh I know where Terrell is.. that's even scarier... I'm in Garland.

How are games that were released at 59.99 "mid-priced?"

Where do you live?

Yeah, thats a terrible comparison considering the Dreamcast wasn't that underpowered compared to the Playstation 2. Due to the Dreamcast's solo arrival and getting the plug pulled early by Sega, many confuse its placement amongst gaming history. I'm not calling you a kid, but I've noticed that most people that do that

I agree with you, it kinda bugs me when people say "when the next gen starts" yet the Wii U kicked it off last year. Graphics aren't the only way to advance technology. Regardless of one's opinion of the Wii's introduction of motion controls to console gaming or the tablet controller, those are both things that

Idiot.

Idiot.

I actually preferred the 3d bits in Generations due to the nice amount of hidden paths that make replaying the levels more rewarding for those not that interested in getting S ranks.

To me, metroidvania games are defined by having a huge level broken up into areas that contain areas that you cannot access without first acquiring a new skill such as a double jump or a new item such as an explosive weapon. Once you get said item or skill, this usually requires backtracking to previous areas.
