It is raining bears in Norway, of course!

Tim Cook posted this photo from Sanfran today. 5000 Apple employees and their families marched on behalf of Apple!

I missed your initial comment, but I think it's great that you're here with that attitude, trying to learn. I'm tempted to send you some Trans 101 type links, but I think the important thing to understand is that preferred vocabulary can be different for different people. The best thing you can do is to ask people how

You're in the right place. Welcome. With that attitude I don't imagine you'll have many problems. Were virtual hugs actually possible, I'd beam one your way.

honey, im a homo in his late 30's and its taken me a long while to know how to accurately deal with respectfully dealing with this subject matter. kudos to u!

I didn't grasp until relatively recently that pronoun changes had nothing to do with SRS, and would refer to transgender individuals using pronouns reflective of this assumption. It wasn't out of hate, or dislike, but ignorance, and the one person I knew who was transgender having some — it turns out — pretty unique

For the record, I didn't even see the post you redacted, just Kat's reply and your subsequent exchange with her. This is one of the reasons she is so wonderful and such a perfect choice for her job here. Most of us, me included, jump with all claws out when we see anything we perceive as hurtful.

What, they don't have Google over at Naturally Moi?

And this is why these discussions are worthwhile. Good on ya for learning. Takes a big person. :)

You know, it is creepy enough how much media coverage of transgender individuals focuses on their genitals. But can we at least skip that when the person in question is a child? Cause that is goddamn pedophiliac and creepy.

I will never understand why the pronoun is so hard for people to grasp.

I am judging the person who wrote this article. It seems to me that she lacks common sense. What poor logic she has used in her deductive analogy. Forgetting one's child in the car, or leaving them there for hours in deadly conditions intentionally is not the same thing as purposely leaving them strapped in a car seat

False. Sauerkraut and literally anything is the worst thing ever. This? I would at least try this.

No problem! As other commenters have suggestion, though, it might be safest just to give the dogs non-treat treats; cheese, veggies, maybe a piece of salami or something. Apparently, sometimes even Made in the USA stuff can be sourced from China originally and just repackaged in the US.

I've been making my dogs' food for about two years now. It's not that hard once you get into a routine, but it can be time consuming if you don't have a plan/know what you're doing. I think the biggest issue with people making homemade pet food is not providing a balanced diet. Some people give their dog chicken

This is why I only feed my dogs treats made from small children that I know the origins of.

I have a friend whose dog has stomach and allergy issues. They feed it chicken and rice. They make a batch on the weekends (whole chicken is used) and feed it to him all week.

Unfortunately all you can do right now is avoid ALL jerky treats because it is impossible to tell where the stuff is sourced. There are products that say "made in the USA" on the front but tiny print on the back says "product finished in USA may include ingredients sourced elsewhere". There are currently no

Take a bite from the carrot and then offer it to your dogs. That's how we made the switch-over (and now you can't have anything carrot without FluterDog saying, "Um, excuse me, why are you eating the dog treats"?)

Sometimes people act like I'm a fanatic for never, ever giving any of my pets anything made in China, but this shit happens way too often. I do not myself ingest or use products from that region (wherever possible) so I wouldn't give it to them either.
