In the opposite, I always make sure to get a connecting flight through Atlanta. That airport has its shit together. The underground tram between 4 terminals is easy to move, they get minimal weather disturbances, as well as luggage making it to your connecting flight.

It seems like more work to get a bad rating. All you have to do is get in the car, sit quietly, and get out. Anything else is at your own discretion. I can't stand the silence, so I chat up the driver. Talking about how much we both appreciate Uber's service is always a good go-to topic.

Even as a seasoned software developer, this is the same curve that happens all the time! I'm at the end of 6 weeks of learning Angular JS + Bootstrap.

Use an empty garbage can to move large amounts of snow rapidly. Hold it horizontal like a large scoop, it will be a wide grip.

I did one even worse. I paid them for my work (sort of), but also relied on "who you know" as well as "what you know".

My typing developed during the MSN messenger days in high school. I spend less time coding than trying to draw out program architecture and flow diagrams.

I agree as this was the case for my interview at my current job. Even my manager told me he didn't know how to proceed because the job hadn't been created yet. Most of it was natural conversation and sharing stories (that equate to experience) that were entertaining for them.

I built my home server using old parts when I upgraded (to play Battlefield 3).

Free Cell Phone Air Time

Same here, been my home phone line for 2 years and counting. Can't complain one bit about it!

Those are the best. I always ask to get the person's number so the person they are calling for can call back when they get out of prison :P

Windows Server (2008R2, 2012, etc.)

A cruise is basically a floating all-inclusive resort that floats to different destinations every day. The room sucks (but you don't go on vacation to stay in your room all day), but they have everything in between to a full all-inc experience. The extra dining experience was a mere $30 for what would be comparable

The instrument panel cluster went on my '03 Denali and was looking to buy a new unit for $250 - which would have also changed the mileage. Luckily I was able to fix it by applying more solder to all the connections on the board, but I would have changed my mileage as a side-effect from trying to repair the cluster

Long Underwear (or Long Johns depending on your region) are a must!

I hear you. I've played sports all the way to finishing High School, but never cared to watch. Attending any game is pretty entertaining in person.

My contract is over, and I have one of the grandfathered unlimited data plans (HSPA+ but no LTE) from Rogers. It's fast enough to stream Neftlix, and can hit 1.5 MB/s on a torrent on the reg. There's no need for me to change plans. Highest data consumption month: 110GB, cost of data: $7 flat.

Saying "yes" while shaking the head "no" always leaves me perplexed.

I always take the soaps and put them in my guest bathroom for when company sleeps over. It has become a full basket of small soaps, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes (from the dentist, I use an electric one instead). Anything they need in case they've forgotten a few things.

My Nexus (Global Entry) card doubles as my passport and is issued by the US government. It won't work with countries other than the US/Canada though.
