You're a reactive driver and not proactive. You should be keeping an eye on your mirrors very periodically when on the highway and aware of the cars around you when there's a gap opening up so you can move over, or people moving through your blind spots.

Let them pass and weed out the cops for speeding tickets. They'll take the bigger fish than you that is barely speeding.

Drift a little right of your lane so the guy behind you sees that you can't move through the steel cage in front of you. People all the time do this to me (I drive a big SUV they can't see beyond), so I let them see that it's not me holding up the line.
