Yea I was hoping they would disintegrate like a weenie tot.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Conditional tax credits aren’t a giveaway; it means certain conditions must be met before Andretti can benefit from the credits. So what are those conditions? Is it the number of employees? Is it other investment obligations? Without the specifics it’s hard to say whether this is a

Today I learned that the Chrysler Chronos was a GM product. (There might be a typo on that slide.)

That also is not entirely accurate. EV power delivery is more than the total mechanical output of the motors. It also includes the delivery capacity of the batteries and other electrical architecture, in addition to chassis, wheels, etc. You could craft a setup in which the motors are all mechanically capable of

Someone is going to have to explain to me how the range is so low. Something must be super inefficient if you are driving normally around town with a 77kwh battery and can’t get more than 200 miles out of that. Tesla Y does the fastfast with a 75kwh battery and gets ~300miles. Why a 1/3 difference?

Jeep has a whole cottage industry of making cool concepts that will never exist.

The Mercury Messenger. It was the direction I so wanted Mercury to go: a classy, fun and sub-premium brand that was actually distinct from Ford. The messenger was a sporty coupe. I mean just look at it: that looks good. And this was made at a time when the big three were very much in retro muscle car mode, this was a

Come on guys, let’s not all dance on his grave.

To be fair regular fuel is just fuel with carbon captured through natural Earth processes and releasing carbon from the past.  I’m not saying its better just a matter of when and how the carbon was captured.

I complained to Google about this article showing up in a search for "license plate readers".  It is actually against license plate readers.

Seat Belts.  Staying alive/less injured in a crash is always a good thing.

The movie does imply that Lightning put the “Kachow” in Sally.

Who the hell is still using HexChrome plating? I’ve worked in automotive for 15+ years. At the beginning of my career it was being phased out aggressively. I am pretty sure every OEM’s hazardous materials requirements ban it.
