Re Kristin - I agree completely. I thought she was brilliant in Bridesmaids. I just never really got many of her repeating characters on SNL.
Jesus, SNL has been a shining light in dark times.
This is SNL’s opportunity to shine, and it is rising to the occasion. It’s redeeming itself for years of meh. What we are witnessing is the intersection of performing one’s civic duty and performing comedy.
She changed her twitter profile pic to her face superimposed over Bannon’s. She’s definitely game!
I always thought she was funny, and obviously a smart business woman - would so rather buy her clothes than Trumpettes - but Melissa McCarthy has elevated herself with this role to a true legend, in my book. I now love her.
I have actually been watching the whole episode the last few weeks, which I haven’t done in many years. This cast and these stars, it’s like the old days. I love it.
SNL is must-see tv. Their skits are leading news networks to really call Trump and his alternative factoids out.
It’s almost as if when SNL has a President and administration that they can mock, they are on top of their game. They were so great during W’s years and then started nosediving during the Obama years, because they had nobody to make fun of really, and now they are on their A-game because of the surreal levels of awful…
That’s not death that’s Steve Bannon:
“I’m a TV president” HA
Can’t wait for Trump to have the aneurysm all this is causing.
Yeah as soon as she came out I could tell the podium as different from last week and I was hoping it was for a good reason!
“He is my little American Happy Meal”
Also:
There’s actually a dubbed version. I don’t know how good the dubbing is, but I noticed the credits for English voices, and Spanish voices.
So sorry, this sounds awful. Glad you are taking such good care of yourself.
