Yep. You end up sacrificing a lot of speed with the 6 speed. And when you only have an inline 4 turbo or inline 6 turbo ... the 8 speed makes a lot of difference.

The 8 speed is better than BMW 6 speed manual. Also BMW manuals aren’t that great anyway. For the daily commute you want the 8speed. And you want the 8 speed on the track ... because it is a lot quicker.
