Calm down. Its just a highway mileage gear. When prospective customers see that most new cars get better EPA ratings in automatics, this might balance that out. It might keep a few non enthusiasts to take a chance if the mileage is the same and the stick is cheaper. They might fall in love and demand all manuals…

I think this whole thing got too technical for me. Nobody is perfect, especially when they are unfolding new frontiers. As far as I know the guy is famous for having balls the size of churchbells. I can enjoy that on a simple level and not expect him to be Jesus.
