NEW STATEMENT RELEASED FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY, 7-13-17:

I don’t know how well trying to jury rig connected autonomous cars into the current system of free traffic is going to play out. At current precedence, the government can only require all NEW cars to be connected by 2023, but seeing as the average age of a car is 11 years old in this country, that is not going to be

100% gas has a HUGE impact, especially towing. We need to ditch that ethanol garbage.

Bravo! Pedantic asshole here, still totally fun at parties, approving this comment.

Too much splitter you say?

I’d like to read this article but

Yep. Someone at BMW took a thumbnail sized picture of 1 series hatchback, inserted it into a Powerpoint and stretched it to fill the slide but squashed it to leave room for some text. Some other BMW peanut saw it and thought ‘seems practical’ and suddenly we have this...

Drove a 15 Suburban with the new 5.3 from coastal VA to Pittsburgh Steelers home opener last year. Calculated my mileage at all stops, averaged 23.6 MPG cruising around 70 MPH through mountainous WV and PA. I’m still a big believer in the V8 being better suited to real world MPG than the force fed motors.

In real-life highway driving, I’ve gotten 24mpg highway from a 16 Silverado 1500 4x4. Ford being excited by 23...isn’t impressive.
