That’s kind of a small turbo for a 6 pot, and at ~15psi it should be fine presuming the engine builder knew this would be boosted.

This basically sums up performance reviews at every large corporation I’ve ever worked for.

I get it on the econobox that’s trying to look tough (didn’t say I like it, but I get it), but this is meant to be a legit supercar. Knock the Pep Boys shit off.

This is always the problem with these vehicles. The answer to “Is it a better value than a GTI?” is always “No”.

So wait, there’s no traditional cruise control at all? If the radar doesn’t work for some reason you can’t just set a speed?

When I lived in NoVA there was a 4-way stop leaving my neighborhood. I had to make a left at this intersection, and one morning I see a cyclist coming from my right. Knowing that most cyclists are entitled assholes who don’t think stop signs apply to them, I waited to see if he’d stop. Predictably, he didn’t and just

It does not. I’d also find it hard to believe you’ll ever need (or notice) that feature unless you’re actually going to do race car stuff with the car. As a daily, the thing between the steering wheel and the seat is far more limiting than how the differentials work.

Since this is summer time, this follows Florida Man’s natural migration patterns. We can expect his return to his more famous stomping grounds shortly after Thanksgiving.

$25k is used Mk7 Golf R money. Maybe a few more miles, but way more car.

Is $58k a typo? Because that’s Audi RS3 money and I can’t imagine this thing is punching in that weight class.

To which you keep replying “No” until he gives up, and if he’s ultra persistent you tell him that he’s about to blow a sale.

Tell your cousin to live a little. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of owning an out of warranty German vehicle. Is today the day I have to sell a kidney? WHO KNOWS! So exciting.

Add on to that, the beliefs that people here have a problem with are Old Testament stuff. Meaning people felt that way long before Christians showed up.

I had a Boxster for a little while, heat wasn’t really an issue but it was definitely louder than most cars inside. That said, you wanted all the noise because even with only 212hp that flat 6 sounded glorious and revved to the moon.

Lol @ encryption stopping tuning. It might mean you can’t tune it for a few months but someone’s breaking into it, too much money to be made.

Frame of reference is important. Maybe this person used to own Volkswagens so only occasionally seeing the Christmas Tree is a nice change of pace.

Those plastic engine covers are very impressive and they want you to know that their plastic engine covers are the BEST, unlike those con men down the street who leave their hoods closed to hide their shame.

If the MPG is the same with 400 lbs of weight difference, you gave up something else, likely power/speed. Probably still has adequate power so maybe you don’t care, but there is a tradeoff for taller heavier vehicles.

I’m American and this is fair, although I’m 5'10" and 170lbs so I’m doing my part to try to skew the average downwards.

IIRC, a lot of places just have a tax on engine displacement, not necessarily vehicle weight or some efficiency metric. It’s also why they tend to be just a hair under their listed displacement, e.g. a 3L engine is actually like 2998cc so that they can say it’s really sub-3L for tax purposes.
