I had a mk6 TDI with a GTD turbo on it, that car was a riot. I’d still own it if VW didn’t offer me a stupid amount of money for the buyback. That buyback got me the R though so no complaints.

Good news friend, you can solve that by throwing on a stupid large turbo and making antisocial levels of horsepower. This is a Supra after all.

Yeah, mk7 is way better looking than mk8, and I’m not just saying that because I own a mk7 R.

Most of BMW’s recent I6 motors have been very stout, I’d be surprised if you couldn’t get 600hp out of the stock motor. It might not be quite as strong as a 2JZ but it’ll be close enough.

Ok then, arrest the once not being peaceable. The ones standing there watching aren’t doing anything and shouldn’t be subject to arrest just because some people nearby are misbehaving.

Probably can’t fit those brakes under 16" wheels.

I’m glad you’re here to clarify that, otherwise I’d have to listen to what the chief engineer actually said and that’s no way to go through life.

Oh I’m sure you’ve got way more than you should.

Which is, of course, why a chief engineer at Cadillac is looking for solutions.

Literally in the article.

If only they could’ve predicted that weather would happen or that people might wear sunglasses sometimes, they could’ve avoided all this. If only...

As a white dude, what the fuck man.

Good catch. My sister’s Volt also does this when the regenerative braking is doing its thing, I noticed while driving behind her. The pattern was too regular and consistent to be human brake pedal application, but the car still felt the need to alert people behind it that it was slowing down.

You’re doing your part to make “the big brioche” a thing and I applaud you for it.

When it fails, you can just blame all the people observing you for the failure, it’s brilliant!

At this point I have to think there’s a running bet somewhere inside of Toyota/Subaru about how many “special editions” they can produce without adding any power.

This sounds like reason #4,230 to daily drive a rally car if you ask me.

Mk7 GTIs break a lot of hearts roll racing for just that reason, they’re light by today’s standards and that motor is really easy to get power out of and very stout.

Could be just more blower and/or more revs.

As long as they stop putting the stupid plastic cladding on the wheel arches I’m in. CUVs aren’t just lifted hatches, they’re lifted hatches covered in plastic to make them seem “tough”.
