Yeah, that's interesting. I'm pretty comfortable in my field and my current company, but I'm thinking of looking for another job. I wonder if I'll decide to dye my hair brown if I get an interview? That's a situation where the whole point is to be judged!

I'll see your Shelley and raise you a Sharon. Mum Osbourne's hair color is not exactly matronly, but I think she looks pretty good.

Thanks, I think it does!

Hm, I'm 36 and decided to dye the ends of my hair peacock blue a few months ago. There was a time in my life, and possibly that was in my early 30s, when I would've felt like an idiot doing it. But I guess I've now reached a point where I'll do what I feel like . . . and as long as it doesn't harm/offend anyone else,

I popped into Sainsburys on my way home to see if this really happened, and it has! Warms the old cockles...

Mmm baked french toast - must try! thanks :)

That bread is so delicious and cheap! But like many good things, it only lasts a day before getting stale.

Never mind the burgers, they still serve FRIED apple pies here! None of that quasi-healthy baked crap that the US replaced it with when I was an easily scarred young lass. The crispiness is heavenly.

Wow...I wonder if the mom is just as awesome. I want to be adopted into this family!

Guess my first date with my now-husband would've been slightly less ordinary if it took place at a Queens police station. But I do regret getting in his car and being whisked off for a drive, without telling anyone who he was or where I was going. It obvs turned out fine, but man, was I dumb.

How strange, I've never once heard "east asian" used in all my time here. Maybe it's a regional thing?

Thanks! I actually had the audacity to correct my new friend, and she thankfully had the grace not to hold it against me. She's been saying and hearing that word her whole life, it has no negative connotations, so who was I to tell her she was wrong for using it? It was a good lesson I had to learn about the American

The term "oriental" is standard here in the UK to refer to people with East Asian origins. Brits use "Asian" to refer to South Asian people. As a Korean-American who had just moved here, I literally felt the red heat risinig up my face when I first heard "oriental" used in this context although it was by a Vietnamese

Ah ok. I know of the one reporter that later backpedaled about it, but that's all. Thanks.

I wonder if they serve kosher?

Did he really slap her? I saw her hair move, but her head doesn't seem to. Not to say he isn't extremely rude, but was there definitely physical contact?

I read that the women go in the back so the men can't see them, thus avoiding temptation.

Here's an idea: we should just take all those weapons of mass destruction we found in Iraq and sell them! Easy peasy.

Those boob cups look like they're molded out of stiff and rigid fabric (similar to her real dress - I wonder if this is actually the same dress with the lace overlay taken off?) so I'm guessing it extends down to her waist. And I wouldn't be surprised if she was rocking some Spanx under there, with all the scrutiny

I wonder if her reception dress got any knockoff love? It seems more in keeping with current wedding trends, aka strapless.
