Do you realize there is a spec sheet on the Apple website for the "new" iPad? Every spec is detailed. RAM isnt mentioned. It must be 512MB and they didnt want the bad press over it.

Thats fine, but you are wrong. Every corporate environment would just take a good mirror of an active computer and erase the entire disk of an incoming computer to be provisioned. This how its done around the globe for the last 10 years. It hasnt changed.
The uninstall rarely removes all the parts of the application. It usually leaves stuff around, which does slow down windows. A fresh install is always faster.

I doubt your desire is going to be a reality. Buying real estate on the home screen is a huge business. Pre-installing crap is an even bigger business. Of course the HP's and Dells of the world will do what the HTC, Samsung and every other Android skinner will say, "its to enhance the experience".
