I have over a million miles on Delta. I almost always check my bag, usually curbside. In hundreds of flights, I’ve had a lost bag twice (1 on Delta, 1 on other). Both times, it was there the next day. In both cases, I’ve been compensated.

Instead of stopping, Kitfield led the CHP officers on a chase before finally stopping his car and surrendering.

60 days seems reasonable for the speeding part, as do the restrictions after his release. But....

You know why its 50lbs? Has nothing to do with the weight of the plane.

You do realize that there’s a reason for the weight rules, right?

Kids change the equation. I felt like a Pack Mule when I had kids along.

Early in my career I had a 5 year span where my job contained nearly a third of the year traveling. It was great for me in my 20s. I got to see not only this country but over a dozen other countries. I would be gone weeks at a time and had to make sure I was packed to be business casual and formal if needed. So I

I’ve been doing at least 30+ work trips per year since 2019. Always check 2 bags minimum.

Never had a bag get completely lost, but MAYBE once per year my bags don’t make the connection. And the airline has always delivered my bags to my destination, even to a place that’s a 4 hour drive away.

Check your bags.  You’re going to be fine, and not having to give a damn about the overhead bins is more than enough to make up for the extra (non)hassle of waiting around a few additional minutes at the baggage claim.  Plus you don’t have to lug it around the airport.

Talk about a time where you really really didn’t need all those extra clothes anyway!

Personal Travel (with 2 small kids): lolololol, checking every effing thing.”

One trip my son (4 at the time) had his entire suitcase filled with his train toys. I wanted to take it all out but he looked at me with those eyes and said,”I just want to play trains with grandpa.”

The airline’s app will usually let you see where your bag was last scanned, too.

I used to be carry-on only. Then I started gate-checking whenever they asked for volunteers and I was on a non-stop. Now I’m pretty happy to check most of the time, especially with a layover - SLC is usually pretty easy to check (no line) and by the time you get to the carousel it’s usually just coming out. Just

Are we coming up with arbitrary reasons to create a divide amongst people now? Seriously?

If you have strong opinions on this either way you need to take a step back & look at the world around us, now ask yourself - is it worth it to die on this hill of all hills?

Now on to the topic - both have a time and a place - if

I have only ever had bags delayed twice in 30 years of travel (average about 10-15 flights per year). Both of those times, the bags turned up 24 hrs later. When travelling domestically for a few days or a week, I can get away with hand luggage; when international, it has to be checked due to amount and type of

krhodes1, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God
