Your argument against my assertion that Israel is not free and does not commit atrocities was that Israel is in a tough neighborhood and that the state (in comparison to others around it) was free. I'm a teacher. Do it. Helping student's is what we do and anyone in academia knows how it feels to be a little lost and in need of advice.

Also, the paid sick days are the teachers' form of short term disability. When the sick days were introduced the union took a pay cut to fund them. Lastly, they will cost more as teachers loose an incentive not to use them it costs much more to get supply in.

Ontario teachers have a huge pension plan because they pay huge amounts of money into it.
