I'm not telling people what to think, I'm telling them to think. I'm asking them to think about their beliefs and what effects their words have on other people who share their beliefs. I made some wise cracks, but I was careful to separate them from my arguments about this.

Maybe the use of the term is more widespread where you are, but for me the term is always related to god. Also I think that its use here is indicative of this issue. Of the way that we focus on ourselves and don't think about our language, we don't think about what our words are implying for others.

But it is doing harm. Imagine the grandfather of the little girl that died in hospital. He prayed for god to intervene on his behalf, but god didn't come through for him and for him to hear others saying "I feel... blessed..." is incredibly hurtful and completely unnecessary. The problem with these kinds of statements

Because if someone is blessed then what precautions should they take against the incoming storm?

Except not at all. Society frowns upon dependence on alcohol and weed is illegal and therefore defiantly not something that people have a right to. Society/Government tells us what we can and can't find comfort in already.

I found that an drill with an allen driver head in it make IKEA the easiest thing in the world. When my partner and I moved across country last fall we basically completely replaced our home with IKEA furnature. We both have training in stage carpentry, so maybe that made it easier, but seriously, between a drill and

I think I'll side with Lucifer on this. Makes sense and you're right it does look rushed.

Why is northern Canada different then the rest of Canada. I know that there are higher rates of STIs up there, but the area that is different from the rest of Canada has no particular political definition and is made up of parts of two Territories.

I love The West Wing.

Nope. It was described to me as the kind of thing that would only happen with poorly kept gear and/or a complete idiot using it. Of course when you're talking about gasses like Acetylene under pressure I'm happy to follow procedure.

You're right. When I was taught to use Oxy-Acetylene cutting torches I was always told never to look directly at the regulators in case they shattered and glass when flying at my face. The same applies here. Think of the gun barrel as a kind reminder.

If I wanted to drink to learn new things this would be great, but I do most of my drinking to kill memories...

I agree entirely that these laws are unconstitutional, but it's dangerous to tell people to go out and film cops when you don't have the (currently written) law on your side. I think it is responible to send people out there and film cops as an act of protest in the hopes of bringing about a challenge, but poeple need

Either way, it quashes the argument that harlots will destroy the country with government dependant babies and that it somehow matters what concenting teens do when adults arn't looking.

Except in Illinois, where you'll be charged with wiretapping/eavesdropping for videotapeing cops....

Smart man says smart things...

THAT IS AMAZING. I mean... I'm kinda scared because it's going to completely change the way we think about filming, (and that sort of thing is always scary) but still amazing...

I'm really curious about how many takes it took them. I've been trying to find out ever since I first saw the video, but the information doesn't seem to be anywhere. I mean with the amount of destruction that they cause in it, you'd think that they would only do it once and cover for all the fuck-ups with camera

"Opens 'shop -Add layer- Apply filter" well that's taken care of... done and done.

Is anyone else really excited for this nominating convention? It's going to be a shitshow. I just imagine, 4 votes in, the old white men who run the GOP step out from behind a curtain and play "eeny meeny miny moe" to decide who gets it.
