I once had The Safety Dance in my head so badly, I could not help but start singing the main riff. Luckily, it was received in good humour and we had a laugh and carried on.

Yeah I pretty much just remember that they exist, that's the extent of my current Boom Crash Opera knowledge!

Check out Boom! Bap! Pow! for a good one as well. Throw in some old school Boom Crash Opera for good measure.

I love almost everything Nolan does but I find myself getting sleepy when I watch this movie and can barely finish it. This has happened multiple times.

Aussie band Trial Kennedy was named after one of their music teachers, band goes all right too. Well, did, they're done now.

Save Rock and Roll for later

Chase down the album Nightswim by Owl Eyes if you're into that kind of thing. LB's new one wasn't bad, more consistent than Hands but without the standout tracks that Hands had.

I don't see how one could not have a crush on her, to be honest.

So much good music this year - Karnivool (check it out if you don't mind your heavy alterna-prog), Deafheaven, Shining (Norway), Steven Wilson, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Soilwork, Kvelertak, The Bronx, Depeche Mode, Boards of Canada, Owl Eyes (good synthy poppy stuff), Little Boots, Charli XCX. I'm sure I missed some

The Whitlams are brilliant, they play the odd show around Australia but it's pretty rare these days

Saw this movie with my brother, come home to dinner (was living with the folks at the time) to see a japanese peace lilly sitting there on the dinner table. Much laughter ensued, for a few seconds.

That sure is a talk box, yes it is. Probably novel in its day but that's before it was used in Bon Jovi solos.

It's a Kouchtown couch

Anything Steven Wilson is involved with gets a big thumbs up from me

Sold, to Boris I shall go!

I hear post-core is a pretty good genre

@avclub-f9cabf7618dbde87fbac9b003c04caad:disqus sooooo I should probably see Boris when they play Flood in its entirety in my town next week? Also, that deafheaven is great, waiting for my CD copy to arrive from the US as we speak.

@avclub-920530cb8744c679e3a2ece84f1d5ce4:disqus Long songs are a very post- thing to do! Very drawn out, dynamic rather than hook driven

Seconded on Panopticon.
