So wait, them being holed up in a cafeteria, where they have food, for ten months and surviving is unreasonably complicated, but them being locked up in a remote cell block, with no food, for ten months makes perfect sense?

Well, there's not exactly a plethora of black characters in the comic books, which is surprising, because there are quite a few black people in Georgia. But that said, the black characters that are in the books are much more rounded, actual human beings with varying motivations, emotions, capabilities, etc. that make

Yep. And if I remember correctly, there was supposed to be a stand-alone episode that Darabont wanted to do that would follow that guy from the outbreak to his spot in the tank. Darabont got his ass fired, so we never got that. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

I could have forgiven it for the reasons you suggest, but why then call attention to the issue with a "we're low on ammo" line and then proceed to completely ignore it?

Well that wasn't terrible. Better than I expected in fact. The action was believable, the writing for  the dialogue and the immediate character motivations were much better than, say, Revolution. I'll give it a shot for a few more episodes at least. The voice-overs made me cringe, though.

My understanding is that the grades are given mostly in relation to other episodes of that particular show. Hence a B grade for this pile of dreck should not be understood as the same as a B for an episode of Boardwalk Empire.

Well, I said last week that I was giving this thing up for lost, but I decided to peek in for another check this week.

Bizarro just pooped on my childhood. The Stand was my favorite Stephen King book back when I obsessed about King (this was in the late 1980s).

Srsly, I was yelling at her through that whole scene, "Why are you shaking back and forth like that, just lean over to one side to avoid the arrow, stupid!"
