They stormed because they believed Tastee wasn't negotiating in good faith and the negotiations were going no where after she rejected their last and final offer.

I think people care about the prisoner count in that it hints that perhaps someone will at least temporarily be unaccounted for.

Season 2 is the weakest, although Season 5 wasn't that strong either. "What About the Media?" just isn't the most interesting question to explore.

They are often used by the writers to advance the plot because they are such wildcards. You can basically have them do anything stupid and it's believable.

I was kind of mixed about Vee. I feel like she started out more realistic and turned cartoonish later.

I enjoyed Red's flashback. My wife and I got a kick out of the throwaway line "You never take me anywhere like Odessa (a legitimate vacation seaside town) or Chernobyl Lake (not a real place, could refer to a lake nearby they dumped toxic waste in, but not a historical tourist spot)."

Flaca and Maritza are doomed to be comic relief in a show that sometimes gets too heavy. They also throw a bone to the straight male gaze portion of the audience.

But obviously the blame doesn't belong on our lack of universal mental health care or lax gun control laws, right?

I'm definitely confused at how the inmates seem to be freely coming and going between the main prison and the infirmary. One would think there is some sort of security gate. It's plausible that the Nurse buzzed them in the first time, but… yeah.

You know you don't have to actually eat the nickels, right?

I'm a big fan of Trader Josef. $6 for a six pack is much more my style than $15.

Sculpins tend to taste better on tap.
