Sounds like a potential Netflix/Amazon exclusive. Especially if they can do it for cheap enough.

I came of as more snarky about those bands than I intended. I agree they are both okay. I was trying to draw a comparison between actors-turned-musicians. The Keanu comparison isn't totally fair as he's not the lead singer. 30 Seconds to Mars isn't my cup of tea, but Jared Leto can sing better than Corey Feldman can.

We do live in an era where we crave "authenticity" and I will grant his performance was pretty authentic. It was very clearly his vision and his vision alone, not hatched by a marketing team or slick producers.

I've heard good things about Kansas City…. Kansas.

Wait… I can get my own talk show with just a PhD?

The commercials are pretty awful.

Historically having nothing else to show in it's place hasn't stopped Fox from cancelling a series.

Oh man, I saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs open for some other band (Bright Eyes, maybe?) Did not enjoy them live at all. One of the few bands where seeing them live made me less of a fan.

Apparently. It make $216m on a $20m budget. Although based on it's Teen Choice awards it looks like it caught the teen demographic.

I found parts of it clever, but the whole didn't exactly work.

I never would have watched Event Horizon if I knew it was Horror/Sci-Fi. But I ended up really enjoying it.

Yeah, I saw it with no idea about it other than it was Tarantino, my friend rented it. I was like "this is kind of boring" until the swerve, at which point I enjoyed the ride.

I'll agree the trailer marketed it as a comedy, which it is not, but it's a great film. I actually think he's kinda middling as a director, but he nailed it with Almost Famous.

Yeah, I mean, my 3.5 year old enjoyed it and wasn't scared. But he did watch it on a laptop screen?

Yeah, I went into Cabin in the Woods thinking "This looks cheesy, but I trust Joss Whedon to at least have some clever dialog".

We Redboxed it. It was disappointing in that we figured with two attractive leads in an R-rated movie about sex and bondage, maybe it would make some good "date night" fodder.

I love these articles writing about the plot of the film as if you can't just go to wikipedia and read a plot summary of the book.

Pluggers is awesome in how awful it is.

Looks like it could be fun to play in Limited, not so sure about constructed.

Glad to hear. This is the sort of high concept that can be screwed up very easily.
