I coulda sworn I was a nerd…

With this episode (coming after a string of strong ones), I feel BBT has broken through to top tier, HBO type territory. Which is utterly bizarre for a CBS three camera sitcom.

Remind me about the toast?

Is this a mini-thread for the humour-challenged? You three are way overthinking this. Bea and Monk are hilarious and absurd, and that's it. That's the point. No need to take it so seriously.

Heh, another future viewer here. "The Weekend" is so far the only ep I have unreservedly liked (loved); as I wait for the next Blu-ray to come in the mail, I hope there are a lot more as good as that one.

I really liked this episode (I watch on Netflix, so now I only have one more left before I have to wait awhile, alas).  I have now come to the conclusion that I really like this show more as a drama than anything.  Who'd a thunk it?

I actually thought it was one of the few times he ever looked cool, so shows what I know.  But I was also distracted by the fact that his daughters didn't have their seat belts on (ack!).

No wonder they don't like to do press—journalists undoubtedly have trouble suppressing their eyerolling.  All this pompous talk about how the Matrix trilogy was the deepest thing ever, and that if a critic doesn't like anything they've made (read: the Matrix sequels), it couldn't possibly be their fault:
