I think having a 3/4 Interchangeable lenses camera is stupid. If your going to carry lenses, than you mind as well carry an SLR. but if you're only going to have one lenses with you it's not a bad idea. and the G1X has a bigger sensor than the Sony Nex.

My S100 I just bought has less noise than my G10. I didn't check every ISO level but I assume its throughout due to DIGIC 5. You won't be slowed down as much with a S100 b/c the lens ring can control ISO or whatever you want and the button ring controls EXP or aperature or ISO or shutter speed.

The Canon G1X has less noise than a Canon 7D at the same ISO in JPEG. Probably due to DIGIC 5.
