It’s a problem everywhere. I grew up in a nice suburb in northern NJ. One of my high school friends died of an OD earlier this year. My mom still lives there and works as a paramedic and she goes on an OD call almost every single day. My own brother would probably be dead right now if he hadn’t kicked his opioid habit…

MLK got killed. It took many riots before the the Acts were passed.

Acting as if peaceful non-violent protest was the only lever being applied to either of those situations only shows your ignorance.

Both of which had more radical alternatives present in the general debate at the time, which presented enough of a “threat” to make complacency too costly.

This isn’t true about Republicans, they absolutely want to do something about wealth and income inequality.  They want to increase it.
