Shoelaces are confusing to Trump supporters.
Shoelaces are confusing to Trump supporters.
And it was exacerbated by the fact that the investigative agencies have already said it was true. So Trump publicly sides with an ex-(although we know he’s still in the game) spy, who knows how these things work better than anyone else, rather than standing up for their — the agencies —findings.
How about the May report from the Senate Intelligence Committee investigation into how state election systems were hacked and election officials phished with malicious intent, etc etc?
But we already know they did more than just buy anti-Clinton tolling ads on Facebook, right? They successfully hacked into state voting databases in a few states, out of the more than 20 they attempted to access.
I tend to agree that a social media campaign to influence the election isn’t that big of a deal, and I’m extremely skeptical of anyone who says it changed the outcome. But there are the aspects of hacking into private servers and releasing confidential information, as well as the collusion angle, that are very…
Actually, I think it’s because it’s just starting to sink in with the Very Serious People crowd that Trump is “stand[ing] up for the country he was elected to defend.”
“is this really worth a story?” = “slow news day?” = auto-ban
The problem with people like you is that I say that I’m Independent, and not Democrat, because the Democrats aren’t leftist enough for me.
I’m in favor of universal health care, living wage, reforming the penal and judiciary systems, etc.
When you already have what you want and are trying to make sure that doesn’t change it’s pretty easy to characterize anyone else as whiny and impatient.
You mean the literal campaign strategy of the last election? The one where the Democratic candidate lost to the most unpopular candidate in the modern era?
In Happy Gilmore voice, "you've been preparing to be a Russian stooge your whole life?"
Thank you for finally pushing this story, Rafi; I’ve been screaming all morning waiting for commiserative screaming-partners. I mean, we all saw this coming, we knew exactly that this was going to happen, and the idiot delivered. Oivey, my blood-pressure.
GREAT IDEA LET’S INSIST ON THE PLAN THAT GAVE THE REPUBLICANS THE WHITE HOUSE AND MAJORITY ON BOTH CHAMBERS WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
I mean is there really anything more American than a fat, bloviating old white guy being an obnoxious dick to everyone around him while accusing them of doing things he himself is far more guilty of?
Thank you for saying this. People on social media who say “I’m goddamn independent” piss me off. Yeah, just say you’re a Republican and stop lying your ass off.
The Overton window moved so far right people think the old far right is now moderate.
There is nothing “centrist” or “moderate” about American moderates. They are right wing. The rest of the civilized world has guaranteed health care and a robust safety net for the most vulnerable among us. We have had a right-wing government since the arms smuggling traitor, Reagan.
It’s a common rhetorical trick I see a lot in conservative media: Explain a thing that actually happened. State that there’s nothing to get angry about. Then, fictionalize the actual event in such a way that they can then get angry about it. In other words, it’s just making shit up to get mad about online.
The ACA spent a year in committee in both houses, and republicans were allowed to contribute many amendments, many of which made into the bill as passed. There were no surprise late night votes, no secret committee hearings. It was all done transparently. They made every attempt to act in good faith. All that…
