I have an Irish-American coworker who, while fairly liberal, fell into the trap thinking that “both sides are the same” for Trump and Brexit. Poor guy looks hopeless every time we talk politics.

My brain cant focus on 1 thing at a time unless im somewhat stoned. I also havent had a migraine since i became a regular weed user.

Im sorry for yr internet misfortune. The only thing worse than it is people, in general.

Off and on all through high school and college. I still work part time in the service industry on the side which is an entirely different beast. Retail is overall bad, but being a grocery store check out clerk is a special kind of hell. Most people are fine or even nice, but when you get a fussy(usually old) customer,

I was lucky only to shill for (mostly bad) Democratic politicians, but hey, at least it got me out of 2 dozen or so days of high school.

This is such a weird criticism. These kids are canvassers. Theyre given a sheet with talking points and they read em off. Its not like these kids are presenting their own ideas or are coming up with policy.

Holy fuck this has to be the most ignorant comment ive ever seen posted in earnest. Try your exercise with cars, or homes, or food, or literally anything you need for survival.

Just ignore all that and yell “TAX BREAKS” at the top of your lungs. Being a Republican is so easy.

Pedophilia is bad and all, but think of the tax breaks. THE TAX BREAKS!

I love the snow. I live in Seattle. It hardly ever snows and that sucks for me.

From what i noticed around Seattle, even the dive bars have at least 1 IPA on tap. Seems like most of the 300+ breweries in the area do multiple IPAs.

I seriously hate this. I had to drop a bunch of dude friends in my mid 20s because every time i was in public with them, every 20 minutes or so theyd comment on a woman’s looks. Like mid conversation “that chick is hot”. Didnt matter if they had girlfriends or were married. It got so old for me.

Yeah, a very large percentage of the hops in the US comes from Eastern Washington and the drought was a problem but last winter was pretty wet and so is this one so its recovering nicely.

Yeah, its obviously been a staple in TVs/movies/books forever. I dont watch a bunch of TV, but of the 2 newer sitcoms i have watched, both have had a dude character “wear her down” for a date. It still happens.

Pacific Northwest, too. Although, i must admit we are too obsessed with IPAs. I go to the Safeway here in Seattle and the beer selection is 90%+ IPAs. I love hoppy beers but sometimes i just want a stout or a lager...

Texas has nice weather? Oppressive heat half the year, one of the most active places in the world for severe storms, possible hurricanes in half the state, the other half is a desert. Yeah, sounds like great weather...

Ive been rewatching some sitcoms from the 90s the last few months. Its appalling to me how many characters in these shows use this strategy. And its not portrayed as a bad thing, its treated like a normal dating strategy to badger the fuck out of a woman until you “wear her down”. No wonder millions of dudes think

Unfortunately for all of us, the only thing they know how to do is to do what their donors tell them, which is why i have no doubt this bill or something similar will eventually pass.

Just a heads up but youre aguing with a poster who thinks gun laws wont work in the US because we are not other countries. Its no suprise this particular individual is also being pedantic when talking about another topic related to gun violence. Anything to change the narrative away from America gun violence epidemic,

To be fair, “kabob” is used as a catch-all term for Middle Eastern/Muslim people in some circles. I dont find it offensive, but im a white male so wtf do i know. Im just saying i can see why someone would potentially find it offensive.
