I met a grown adult like this kid once. Years ago i had an awful roommate who would invite all kinds of people over for parties. This one time, he invited this dude who proceeded to tell me and the 3rd roommate that he loved to use the N-word just to make people mad. About a dozen N-bombs later the 3rd roommate and i

Well the country keeps going away from your big 3 because of my original point.

A kid i went to high school with had a confederate flag on his truck...in Pennsylvania.

Gawker died for less.

I did not suggest it was binary, i merely stated that people in this country trust corporations too much and the government too little. If i made a mistake, it was not clarifying that i was mostly referring to trusting the government to regulate corporations and not the government as a whole.

I agree, my point is that this country fetishizes the free market and corporations while unilaterally demonizing any for of government that tries to regulate the market.

The only one making assumptions here is you, pal.

Youre right, i never hear anyone complaining about the government online.

Its people like you that give us our shitty government. Continue your edgelord “you cant trust anyone” mentality. Its why out government continues to be run by our corporations. Because theyre the ones actively influencing our government, not the people.

I found the dumbest take, you guys!!!

Youre fooling yourself if you think corporate worship started with Trump. This shit has been going on for decades.

Its weird to me so many people trust corporations but distrust the government.

Classic GOP tactic right there. Accuse the other side if doing something your side spent the last 8 years doing. Obama got shit for the most inconsequential stuff from the right, but the left is apparently just as bad because we want our president to decry hate groups.

Even worse were the people who thought Trump was smart enough to manipulate people on that level. The GOP are the manipulators. Trump is just the snake oil salesman taking advantage of the ignorant.

I misunderstood you, apparently. I thought you were talking about extremely isolated pockets of violent resistance, but it is clear now you meant on a larger scale than what i had assumed.

“Im not a racist i just want to pay less taxes. So what if i have to elect a racist who will mostly lower the tax burden on the obscenely wealthy while taking away healthcare for the poor. That extra $5/mo i save in taxes is goddamn worth it”

Thats an optimistic take in my opinion, but here is to hoping you are right.

Hahaha, conservative media will continue to deflect with “both sides do it” nonsense. Quite comfortably, too. Hell, theyve been doing it for decades!

The fact that right wing media equates BLM and white supremacists is really fucking telling. One side dealt with slavery, Jim Crow, and general hatred. The other side is mad at non white people for existing or being in their country. How do you even mention the 2 groups in the same breath?

There were more than a few of those types around these parts today. Claiming neutrality by not taking a side, claiming both sides do it, etc...
