Please! We beg you. I’m hoping someone from the media addresses rockstar and call them out on their poor attempts to take cheaters out of the game. Apparently, there is some project going on, a mod that will run dedicated servers and take cheaters out of the game, better than rockstar can. Let’s hope

pc gamer did an article on it. I had no idea how big cheating was on the pc, until I read that article and saw how many people cheating in games

I’d really like to see someone in the media question Rockstar about the cheating in this game and kinda put pressure on them to fix it. From what I gather, it seems like they are patching in Anti-cheat measures and don’t have an anti-cheat in place. Just treating them as bugs. This is terrible. I’m able to play

Welcome to customer service. Your local deli man that works 30 straight days, 16hr shifts also goes through the same thing, only to get chewed by a customer and being force to take it. humans just suck period.

I kinda believe this logic. Why do modders deserve to get paid I ask myself? It feels sort of like slippin’ Jimmy on Better Call Saul. If you are a successful modder, why can’t you be hired? Why don’t devs want to hire you? It should be in their best interests.

I think the approach needs to be different. It is a service issue. If I’m downloading a mod, I shouldn’t have to go anywhere else other than steam workshop to receive my title and mods. This doesn’t scream modders can go to hell. This screams it needs to be better implemented. If its shared works, you can’t really

To all the people saying people are whining about having to pay and suggesting its a small minority, did you not see gabe’s ama? They made a measly 10k off this. If this was 2m in sales in the first week, despite the public outrage, they would have stuck with it.

I think they need to implement a subscription plan. Maybe for a year or something, Also need to clear up the DMCA tape and modders need to begin to trademark their mods so people don’t steal their shit.

DLC would have to die in order for this model to work.

Damn I didn’t know that. I thought it was available on steam too. Guess I was wrong

Oh, I thought the person tried to rob you guys and failed and blew up everyone that was not in passive mode.

cant wait to see a mod that will populate the city.

The mod pirating scene has been birthed

Sounds like xzibit making a mod

Yes, I have. On PS3. The never bothered to batch the game breaking bug, so I stopped playing it. It seems like the PC version suffers the same fate if it were not for these mods and unofficial patches. People have the right to be upset. This is a retail game. I’m all fine for modders to charge for F2P mods. Go ahead.

I do the same, good point. But You also don’t price your prices competitively with legit stores. Some of these DLC disguised as mods retail for as high as 30 bucks. I’m pretty sure your rates are cheaper than what PC repair shops offer. Also, You receive 100% of the profits, probably non taxed as well.

This is selling the modder short. You are giving them some revenue but really nothing. Just like the music industry and hip hop in the 90s. These people are getting pennies on the dollar for mods. Usually a mod is never completed alone, maybe from the assist of a community like scripts or something the modder is not

that’s pennies on the dollar especially after taxes and split multiple ways. If a mod is sold for 1 dollar and manages to sell 100k, that’s 25k before taxes and before division. at the end of the day, modders will be lucky if they can even buy an used toyota.

if mods are really good, you hire those people.

I agree, modding is no different than a video editor on youtube that cuts better edits than the majority of the tv shows thats out there today. Paying for a mod is like paying to watch a fanfic of an already made tv show. Like watching that power rangers trailer.
