My girlfriend and I have been driving a rental car for about a month and you can’t get away from that “Red Bull & Hennessy” song on SiriusXM. I have never liked Jenny Lewis, I think The Elected’s first album is better than any of Rilo Kiley’s output, and I definitely don’t miss the days - years, really - of indie

I had the opportunity to see Avey Tare & Panda Bear perform Sung Tongs a couple months ago and it was a wonderful show. They did a few songs from Young Prayer for the encore, which was a really nice touch. I haven’t been engaged with their recent output either, but it sounds like I’ll have to check out Panda Bear’s

I’ll have to add it to the queue. I still have “Seventeen” stuck in my head from working at an American Eagle in high school...

If you took the first four songs of the Green Album and cut everything else, you’d have a good-to-great Weezer EP.

For a band that has spent over two decades trying to capture ‘96 vintage Weezer, I’m surprised that they never released a version of Songs from the Black Hole. Maybe for Pinkerton’s 25th anniversary in

Brandon Boyd’s voice is like my own private wishing well. I loved Incubus’ first few records, and their singles following the lineup change have been great as well (“Anna Molly”!!!), but A Crow Left of the Murder was uneven at best and I haven’t listened to an Incubus CD start-to-finish since. I’ll have to check out

Hold on: an original comedy series about space starring an Office-alum on a major streaming service that isn’t Steve Carell’s upcoming “Space Force” on Netflix? That’s some... weirdly specific competition.

Looks pretty bleak. I’m waiting for the competing Netflix and Hulu documentaries.

...meanwhile, Phoebe Bridgers’ current tour with Conor Oberst sold out in minutes. Thanks for the come-up, Ryan!

I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning is one of my all-time favorite albums. (And I’m kind of surprised that no one’s here to rag on Conor Oberst.) Looking into boygenius...

What's the most engaging album of 2019?

Even though he won’t starring, he still stands to make residual profit from the five seasons he starred in that will continue to stream on Netflix. No reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater, right?

Boo!

I watched the first episode (David Spade) of Norm Macdonald has a show. I guess he's dealing with his own #MeToo imbroglio? The show is aggressively boring.

Good for Marc. He probably doesn’t practice with a $14,000 tube amp.

So a full season of Char Ity, then?

Stupid headline.

Father John Misty should be included as his own fanbase.

You are not so smart.

I remember trying the demo for Halo at our local Electronic Boutique and HATING it for that reason.

I logged in to star this. Man, I remember playing QfG3 from floppy disks. You have to fund a Kickstarter these days to get the sort of stuff they used to just include in the box...
