Wtf is going on with Jezebel? Over the last year articles have just been getting plain mean and bitchy. Often with no apparent cause.

She’s trash for a number of reasons, but paying her brother’s bail isn’t one of them. While that’s what was originally reported, court papers confirm that her mother paid and put up her own house. Jezebel even reported on the correction, so I don’t know why they’re pretending otherwise now.

I agree with the others that this is really unfair. I once lost all four of my childhood pets in the span of a year. We had adopted them all around the same time, and they were all old, and pets have a tendency to become depressed when one of their own dies. The Lamby situation was fucked up, but this is a gross…

Bowie died because he was 13 fucking years old. That’s a pretty good innings for that breed, especially for a shelter dog that was already of advanced age when you got it. You said that yourself in the article.

So the Lamby thing was fucked up. You are always supposed to return a rescue to the rescue facility, or rehome the pet with their involvement. But this is totally different, and is so unbelievably callous. An old dog died. That's pretty normal. I'm also grossed out.

NO.  This is a pretty awful article.  She’s being honest about the reality of foster pet parenting.  

Pure blasphemy you called it a reboot/remake...its not being rebooted its merely picking up where the movie left off. And honestly I think it sounds pretty ground because the movie was pretty amazing and shows that even as an adult Veronica still has it.

Wow, I don’t know if it’s the recent turnover in writers, but more and more I find myself really surprised at the tone of Jezebel’s articles. This is extremely unnecessary, and I hope you’re never confronted by something like this when you ultimately lose a loved one.

You know what, I don’t get outwardly pissed at Jezebel or individual writers very often, but this whole article and it’s not-so-subtle subtext is horrible. It’s disgusting and y’all should be ashamed.

I just had 2 pets die in a 2 week time span for completely unrelated reasons. When you own a lot of animals, eventually they are going to die. This seems like fishing for a headline in a really gross way.

I disagree. There is storyline based on the books Rob Thomas wrote post movie. Neptune is a place I love to visit no matter the reason. I squealed with glee when I heard the news.
