Very good points both on market prices and government interference.

Even after being hyper photoshopped, they still didn't remotely look like "clones" to me.
Great article Steve.
Sure, there are a lot of ways to go about it. The problem is Microsoft is more interested in getting as much ad revenue as possible by splashing it all over the dashboard at the expense of innovating for the users and the content they already own.
Older versions were much more of a dashboard than a digital storefront. Somewhere along the line it was turned into a hybrid store/dashboard. I would prefer they used the space to provide an interface to rapidly access my content. A simple example would be the games tab. On that tab, you have to drill down to get to…
The Xbox dashboard is an incredibly shitty user experience. 75% of the usable space on each tab is devoted to advertisements. For a "premium" paid service.

Same Sh*t Differnet day is an understatement when it comes to how much he recycled from Gangnam Style to make this new song.
Loving the genre mash up here.
So much this. True game fans, as you said, could care less about graphics. They are secondary to depth and gameplay. It's a lot like music - the content is what counts, and then the mixing and effects and all that just add to the foundation.
Nice, a game going for the retro vibe that actually seems to keep it fairly consistent. Need more like this.
"lets go fishing" clink CLINK
That's a good way of putting it.
It really is.
Yeah you jogged my memory a bit and he definitely wasn't the worst in terms of eye-roll inducing moments. His backstory was pretty charming, I'll admit. I'll have to go back and re-watch it now and re-assess. Perhaps Tommy and Jonathan were just putting the movie in a certain light so when Phil's turns came around, I…
Don't watch indie game: the movie then. It will further solidify your opinion of him being an insufferable hipster twerp. I deeply treasure Fez... but seeing him blather on in that film ruined the game for me just a tad bit.
Well said. That willful ignorance is one of the more glaring issues with her previous work. It seems like she's trying to move away from demanding that you feel like there's an inherent problem with the works due to tropes, and more towards just making you aware of the tropes and giving you some history/insight into…
I'm not a fan of her older videos but I enjoyed this one. The damsel trope has always seemed kind of lowbrow to me but I couldn't exactly put my finger on it. She lays down some pretty interesting history as well. It felt a lot more substantial than what I've come to expect from her. Let's see where this series goes.
This is a pretty old conversation and I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make. I made it pretty clear that something posing a direct threat to the well-being of others is an exception, so that invalidates your examples of murder and theft as counter-points. Would you mind clarifying for me?
