My previous daily driver before now was an RX8, which had a single-piece seatback/headrest that was far enough back that you could probably wear a helmet and it not rub the leather in abusive driving. First car - too low for real use. Car now, they’re worthless. So.... Not really.

Yeah, if someone is rolling along, a license copy doesn’t really matter. Had someone out in one last week and he took “drive it like it’s your car” quite seriously.

The bumps on the hood are supposedly for aero. It’s a wiper-chatter at speed thing, according to what I’ve heard. They just made them look like vents because style.

Nailed it. Key is buried in the fob.

I’ve driven the G35/37s. This is an entirely different animal.

Look at a clean one in the sunlight and you’ll realize it’s not actually a flat gray. There is a fuckton of metalflake in that paint job.

As someone who explicitly works in that business, for a Kia dealer, I will say the perception is still strong enough with buyers that many people I speak to are sub 600s that want that “under 10k new” deal that simply doesn’t exist anymore.

You mean the Celica that replaced the Celica while still in production simultaneously with the final Celica?

Nobody wants to sell a car to a car guy. They’re a pain in the ass to deal with.

How good will 300+ torques and FWD handle burnout duty is my main question... Will the added luxury-ish treatment make it a nice, quiet place to be while roasting your front rubbers like back in the old Toronado days?

GM’s “economy” shift light. My first car had a spot for one of those, even though it’s an automatic. They just took out the extra bulb at the factory. Apparently, the “factory shift light mod” was very popular among people who had manuals

My mother got yelled at by an Illinois highway nazi for driving barefoot because roadtrips with heels on are dumb.

Had a car where Reverse was basically in the same gate as 6th. “Push whole shifter down to reverse” was penciled into the manual by the previous owner.

I’m with you, somewhat. I actually like a mix of tan over, like, charcoal? More tan, obviously.

I honestly think an AW11 should have a blue interior. Double points if the exterior is white.

Pink OR purple, sure.

They probably sold the stock transmission and Chebby Tree-50 to make back that part of their budget. There’s always somebody looking to buy a junker V8 off Craigslist

Tau + supercharger would be a solid combination for a traditional GT halo car. But that engine is getting a little bit old now, so I’m sure a new large-capacity engine is already on the drawing board somewhere.

335k mi is what my buddy got out of his 300 before he lost cylinder 5.

Could take two of their turbo fours and make a TT V8 with 500-ish HP if people also want a gas-burner option
