Just about every time I say that tipping is stupid, and that restaurant staff should just be paid a living wage, someone responds with, “Well then the restaurant’s just going to add that into the price of the food!”

I’ve been in several countries where tipping is not the norm and servers are paid a fair wage, and I can assert that the service doesn’t suffer.

Servers don’t hover around you, asking if everything is OK and can they get some more ketchup, but they bring you what you want.

Tipping is barbaric.

No, they don’t want him in power.. they want him “relevant”.. there is a difference.. in power, means he can affect them and cause them problems. But relevant means they can milk him for every insane/inane/stupid thing he says/does which garners ratings before moving on to the next dumb fuck.
