Doctor Who is almost always uneven, but the best episodes this season have been somewhat revelatory IMO

The new season of Doctor Who probably deserves to be included though it is a pretty good list & there aren’t shows that are glaringly undeserving to be on it that jump out at me

I am a Superman Returns defender, even if I acknowledge  that the nostalgia and the Superman theme is doing the heavy lifting for it. And that its a movie that paid several sex offenders.

One commenter recently posted that they continued to come here out of muscle memory, which describes perfectly my irrational ongoing AV Club habit.  I really just thought one day the comments plug would be permanently pulled and that would be that.  Never expected this kind of resurrection.

And I just have to say, the possibility of a resurrected AV Club makes me so, so happy. The old school original version was one of the very best things about the old, pre-enshittified internet, and that it could rise from the ashes like a Phoenix gives me hope that all is not yet lost.

I’m sorry but honestly, I didn’t find the Chidi/Eleanor romance to be even halfway decent, never mind ‘best of’.

I actually love the idea of a Star Wars themed hotel where I get to hang out and drink in the cantina with aliens and a galaxy viewport or whatever. But load my schedule up with 16 hours worth of tasks? No thanks.

I’ll admit, I had similar feelings about Galaxy’s Edge, but once I visited it in person, I got sucked in. Even my partner who struggles to tell the movies apart seemed charmed by the whole thing. I would still prefer to go to a park that let me visit Hoth, Mos Eisley, etc. like you suggest, but I can’t deny that what…
