We’re not missing it. It was a lazy attempt at humour that fell flat and was made worse by the fact that he leaned so heavily on a tired, worn out trope. No one cares that he’s a whiny man-child because no one sympathizes with whiny man-children in the first place.

Nope, they’re going to die too. We all are.

It would seem we do need his opinion since it’s created such a huge dialogue. Now if only people could talk about the issue without reducing themselves to name calling. Some people are pro but their only arguments are along the lines of, “Because criminals will rise up and take everything from everyone.” which isn’t

That is a reasonable response and well thought out solution which is why you can expect vitriol and hate thrown your way in the key of, “That’s how Hitler took everyone’s guns away! They just want to disarm the populace so they can have all the power!”

Don’t forget vacuum, wash windows, wash the car, rake leaves in the yard, mow the lawn, clean bathrooms, get those tiny little hands in hard to reach places like eaves-troughs, or behind the air-conditioning unit, the list is endless really.

What’s really sad is how police give zero shits about internet threats. If he’d called you and left a voice mail, they’d send someone to talk to him, but since it’s on the internet, well that could be anybody on the planet. How are the poor lil’ ol’ powice men gonna figure out who dun it?

I’m guessing this isn’t your first time seeing a Miike film so the idea that this adaptation would be “good” is frankly astounding. I love Miike, but his films are awful. It’s because his films are awful that so many people love him. The acting is terrible, the plots are non-existant except when the only two or three

Every banker and financial analyst I’ve spoken to about debt has said the same thing, “Savings/investment should be your priority over debt repayment.” We will almost all have some type of debt, so instead of taking a thousand bucks to pay off your credit card, pay off $300 and put the other $700 into something that

Haven’t seen a full episode of the new series yet but as someone that used to make a living licensing the old version to foreign markets, this new one looks god awful and I’m happily awaiting the new car show that Clarkson, May and Hammond are putting together.

He’s probably not using those magnums to keep the warts on his hands from touching his junk.

Install an adblocker. Problem solved.

That’s not even remotely true. After the word “normcore” moved from pathetic joke to actual fashion option, kids with more money than braincells desperately needed to buy mom jeans and canvas sneakers to conform through non-conformist means. Hipsters haven’t existed for years, they’re just people with really shitty

Possibly the worst $65 you could spend. A bunch of lacklustre art in a tiny, DVD clamshell case sized book and a light blue plastic paperweight.

While I think it’s amazing that Beat Takashi was cast, I can safely say that I have never eagerly awaited igoring/missing a film like I have this bound-to-be-a-train-wreck-of-an-abortion. I am also looking forward to the day that Hollywood hires a writer or two.

Hey hey hey now. Let’s be fair. He did Oriental Studies at Cambridge.

You can buy them online but you have to go to SDCC to pick them up physically. That’s easily the least intelligent sales strategy I’ve ever seen.

It’s not the edgy 90s teen market sadly, this has been far too popular a way to market things to idiots for far too long. Old Spice commercials, Taco Bell 420 ads, they’re all aimed at an unbelievably lower than lowest common denominator and it’s only just starting to be frowned upon now.

You’re missing the obvious question, why would anyone fake a film from 1898 in 1910-1920? Pulling off a stunt like “making a film in the style of...” would have been a foolish waste of time, first and foremost, prohibitively expensive and finally, that type of humour didn’t exist. No one was making “ironic” films back

Yes. Yes I have. I spent too many years in archives at CBC/NFB/BBC/U of T and Ryerson. There are plenty of films that look this good, and better, from the 19th century.

I’m not trying to convince/coerce/bully anyone into anything. Just sharing my experience. I’m not buying one, but it was an insane amount of fun using my friend’s Vive.
