It’s not breaking news but I like to keep putting it out there so people are paying attention - New Orleans will be voting between two women of color in our mayoral runoff in a couple weeks. The winner will be the first woman of color to hold that office (and first woman in general).

It’s almost as if you give people a reason to vote for someone other than “I’m not a Republican” people actually respond enthusiastically. Who knew?
