This was my thought.  Great program, great use of EV tech, but well over $300K per doesn’t only sound slightly absurd, but at least 2x (if not 3x) the expected cost per bus.

Or power by child labor treadmills inside the bus. 

And if Donald The Criminal manages to squat his fat ass in the Oval Office again, you can be sure he’ll cancel the program. The ignoramus (“Magnets don’t work underwater.”) will replace them with electric busses running off of coal-powered on-board generators.

EV school busses seem to be a very good use of EV technology. Known route lengths. Known payload capacity. Nightly plug in times. Set locations for plug ins. Not making children breath diesel smoke. Lower maintenance.
