We just moved, and in our new town most kids bike or walk to school. It’s amazing. There are also more houses with Wu-Tang presidential yard signs than there are thin blue line flags; I am thinking these may correlate. Too bad my nine-year old daughter is capable of being lost within sight of the front door...

‘70s and ‘80s for me, in Maine. Yup, cold, wet, nobody cared - “suck it up , Buttercup” , dress warm, wear your raincoat, and get your ass to the bus stop.

Seriously. How much of the road-based danger of letting kids walk/bike to school today is because parents these days insist on buying giant vehicles to protect their kids from the road-based dangers of giant vehicles? People causing fears to be self-fulfilling prophecies.

I seriously do not get parents today. Most of my friends with kids DO drive them to school every day. Despite there being a perfectly good bus that would pick them up right down the street.

LOL - OMG if they walked to school how would they survive lol. They need the headrest screen and a movie to entertain them as they roll to school to be glued to their phones and learn nothing lol!

Look, Ashleigh, Ashlee, Ashli, Ashlie, Ashly, and Greyson need a way to get to soccer, fuck the planet.

But...somebody’s going to pull the plug at some point, right?

COTD right there.

Toyota is just subtly letting us know they have a lot of shit in the works that they just don’t want getting out.

I had the opposite reaction, in person I thought they looked nice, not sporty in any way like 7 series of old, but it has a commanding presence.

The real shame is that I’m not smart enough or rich enough to come up with something that fear mongering asshole can latch on to and get his hoards of followers to embrace.

Between you and me, I think Rolls Royces are ugly for the most part. Bentley is probably the best looking executive saloon. But I don’t care what that thing I posted is, that is the type of hardcore you delete from your browsing history. That’s the type thing you pray for forgiveness over.

Almost always driven by a nervous-looking short guy, btw.

That’s not appreciably cheaper, you just get to live closer to work.

It’s Seattle, they have a huge mortgage, but mostly stupid car choices.

Make sure your insurance is paid up, and just keep parking that Charger on the street. Problem will sort itself.

The clear taillight covers on the late 90's and early ‘aughts Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300, from which the “Altezza” style derived it’s name. It ended up making it’s way into everything from the Impreza hatchback to the 4th gen Altima (which is actually one of my favorite interpretations of this style, despite it

BMW, for their invisible turn signals.

I mean you’re half right with the Toyota observation. However that’s the TRD Edition (silly yes), which only comes with the 3.5 liter V6, and both of those exhaust pipes are real and functional. In fact, all current generation Camrys have real exhaust pipes so not sure where you got the idea they’re fake. And fake
